Purpose of this Site and Blog

Website

I had this website created in order make my training services available to the public. I have been a personal trainer for 10+ years, and the site will help you see the advantage of hiring me for your training. I have been a coach even longer and specialize in linking skill training in a sport to physical conditioning.

BLOG

A Deeper Look

The blog takes a deeper look into training. It gives the reader some guidance when training on your own for your sport or favorite activity. Of course, I would love to have you hire me for your training needs, but I realize that not everyone wants to do that.

My posts are meant to help, and they are not a substitute for a formal training program.

Current issues

In the training field, there is lots of content out there, some very good and some is not so much. I will give my perspective from time to time based on my experiences and study of various topics.

I want to emphasize that it is only my perspective and not written in stone. In reviewing some of my earlier posts, they need some edits based on some new courses I have taken this year. This field is constantly changing and we need to keep pace with the latest research and methods, so content is constantly in need of review and revision.

Please Be Careful

Finally:

With any kind of physical activity you should be physically able to perform. If you have an injury or underlying physical condition, consult a physician before starting any of the activities suggested on this or any website blog. Here is the form that I use with new clients. If you answer yes to any of these questions consult your physician before doing anything contained in this site or associated blogs

Use common sense. If you do a drill or an exercise and it hurts STOP!!! Pain is a signal that something is wrong. Don’t overdo things. Doing too much, too soon can result in an injury or physical harm. You should talk to your physician before starting any exercise program.
